This summer, Smith Engineering were thrilled to help the Dengineers team take on the challenge of building the largest den they've ever attempted. This was for the Claire House Children’s Hospice in Liverpool.
Smith Engineering is a technology and prototype development company based in Mayport, Cumbria. They designed and helped install a waterwheel to one of a series of fantastic dens in the hospice grounds. Each den is connected by a wheelchair friendly boardwalk. The children and their families were delighted with the finished project.
Claire House helps seriously and terminally ill children by providing specialist nursing care and creating fun experiences - bringing back a sense of normality to families’ lives.
Co-presenter and designer Sege Rosella said: “A massive thank you for everything you did for us at Claire House. The end result was fantastic thanks in part to the wonderful expertise, help and advice you so generously provided us with. All the children, families and staff were completely blown away!”
